Education

Creativity in education is absolutely essential to our post-industrial future. Music education is a crucial way to develop such creativity, therefore it’s more important than ever before. If you don't believe us, listen to this speech by Sir Ken Robinson. 20 minutes spent listening to him will be time well spent!

These aren’t off-the-shelf workshops; we discuss with you at length the needs and abilities of your audience, and create a bespoke programme especially for the event - whether it’s a 30 minute pre-concert talk, a half-day workshop, or a residential event.

[Please note that we are not specialist educators or music leaders, therefore educational workshops can usually only be offered in combination with a performance event.]

Experience

Simon: Most of Simon's education training has come from his time with Yehudi Menuhin’s Live Music Now organization, an extraordinary group of people dedicated to bringing music into disadvantaged communities. As well as performances/workshops for younger people, he has worked with people suffering many extremes of mental and physical disability. Additionally, he maintains a highly successful private teaching studio in London.

Thomas: Thomas has taught widely both on a one-to-one and group level. His experience includes classroom and individual music tuition, group tutoring on courses such as the Canford Summer School, and personal training for music professionals requiring specialist skills in composition software use and recording techniques.
